Aleida March was the widow of Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara. She was born in Havana in 1936 and grew up in a politically active family, which influenced her own revolutionary beliefs. March met Guevara in 1959, during the Cuban Revolution, and they were married in 1959.
After Guevara's death in 1967, March continued to be involved in political activities and worked as a diplomat for the Cuban government. She also played a role in preserving her husband's legacy, writing a book about their life together and working to keep his memory alive.
March passed away in 2021 at the age of 85. She is remembered as a strong and dedicated woman who remained committed to the revolutionary ideals of her late husband.
